New Delhi: The blame game has begun between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party over the recent floods in Delhi. The AAP accuses the BJP and the Haryana government of intentionally releasing water towards Delhi to seek revenge for their defeat. They are demanding that the Haryana government release the statistics of water released in the past three days. On the other hand, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar claims that the floods are a natural calamity and should not be politicized.

The AAP claims that the BJP purposely released water from the Hathnikund barrage towards Delhi, while neglecting to release any water in other canals. They argue that this was done to harm the people of Delhi. However, Chief Minister Khattar states that the floods are a result of heavy rainfall in the highland states, leading to a significant increase in water levels. He also explains that the capacity of the barrage is limited and cannot handle excessive water.

In response to Khattar’s remarks, AAP spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar demands the release of data regarding the water released from the Hathnikund Barrage in Haryana to Delhi through different canals. She emphasizes that only by examining this data can it be determined if the floods in Delhi were a natural disaster or caused by the BJP.

The situation remains tense as both parties continue to exchange accusations. However, it is crucial to focus on addressing the aftermath of the floods and providing assistance to those affected.
