The chairman of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE), Prof R Limbadri, emphasized the importance of improving the current higher education system to meet international standards. He made this statement during a conference on higher education at the National Institute of Planning and Administration (NIPA). Prof Limbadri pointed out that Telangana has the highest Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER) in the country. Along with Prof D Ravinder, the Vice-Chancellor of Osmania University, they discussed and made several important decisions during the meeting.

One of the decisions made was to introduce a half-yearly e-newsletter starting from September 2023. This decision aligns with the previous agreement made at a conference of the chairman of State Higher Education Councils across the country. They also agreed to collaborate with all the State councils of higher education and NIPA to strengthen higher education in India. Additionally, they plan to organize workshops and conferences to address necessary changes in the current curriculum and raise academic standards to an international level.
