    Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao has announced good news for Panchayat Secretaries. After completing four years of training, the roles of Panchayat Secretaries, as per the prescribed guidelines, will be reviewed and streamlined. This decision was taken in a high-level review meeting held at the Secretariat today.

    The Chief Minister expressed his appreciation for the significant progress made by Panchayat Secretaries in the development of rural areas in Telangana. He mentioned that their efforts have been recognized with national awards for achieving agricultural growth in the villages that are prevalent across the country. The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of maintaining the cleanliness and greenery of the villages and instructed Panchayat Secretaries to fulfill their responsibilities in protecting crops and various other obligations.

    The Chief Minister also directed that a committee be formed to conduct a comprehensive review of the performance of Panchayat Secretaries who have completed their probation period. The committee will assess the targets set and ensure that all the objectives are met. The decision to regularize the services of 32 out of 33 Panchayat Secretaries who have completed three years and eight months of training was taken in a high-level meeting.

    To implement these decisions, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar has appointed Panchayat Raj Principal Secretary Shanti Kumari and Commissioner Hanmanth Rao as nodal officers. They will take necessary actions to initiate the process.

    The government of Telangana has taken this decision to ensure the effective functioning of Panchayat Secretaries, who play a crucial role in the overall development and progress of the villages. In addition to nurturing crops and safeguarding them, it is essential for them to fulfill various other responsibilities and adhere to the prescribed guidelines set by the state government.
