Hyderabad, July 10 (Namaste Telangana): The National Water Development Agency (NWDA) held another meeting today to discuss the interlinking of Godavari and Cauvery rivers. In addition to Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Telangana states, the meeting was attended by representatives from other beneficiary states. The 71st Steering Committee meeting focused on the progress of the Godavari-Cauvery river interlinking project.
During the previous meetings, concerns were raised about the internal differences and unresolved issues regarding the Godavari-Cauvery river interlinking agreement. Today’s meeting aimed to gather opinions on how to address these concerns and ensure the smooth implementation of the project. The agenda for the meeting has already been shared with all the participating states.
