There are no pending bills with Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, according to the Raj Bhavan authorities. They clarified in a press communique that currently, there are no bills awaiting the Governor’s approval. Out of the bills received, three have been approved and two have been referred to the President’s office. The remaining bills have been returned to the State government with explanations. The Raj Bhavan has requested the media to verify with the Governor’s office before reporting any news.
It’s worth mentioning that there has been tension between Governor and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao since the Governor rejected CM KCR’s recommendation for a candidate under the Governor Quota. The Governor has approved three bills and reserved two for the President’s consideration. The government has withheld three other bills related to private universities, municipal laws, and public employment regulations.
