Hyderabad: Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav announced that the Bonala Festival is being celebrated on a grand scale after the formation of the Telangana state. He stated that Bonalu is a symbol of our culture and since 2014, the government has been making all the arrangements for the festival. CM KCR has declared Bonalu as a state festival. In the context of Ashada Bonalu, Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav’s family offered silk clothes to Shri Ujjaini Mahankali in Secunderabad. The government is providing financial assistance to temples with the aim of conducting Bonalu on a grand scale, he said.
Telangana, the only state that is providing financial assistance to private temples, also announced that it will support them. In the context of Bonalu, lakhs of devotees have made all the arrangements without causing any inconvenience. The minister said that Mahankali Bonalu Jatara is being celebrated on a global scale, including in America, London, and Dubai. It was also revealed that devotees from across the country and abroad are coming for the darshan of the goddess. Regardless of caste, religion, and politics, we are celebrating these festivals, he added. All authorities from various departments are working together to ensure that Bonalu festivals are conducted on a grand scale, he congratulated everyone involved.
