The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has criticized Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, claiming that some Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) volunteers were given jobs and paid using government funds. The BJP spokesperson, Sudhanshu Trivedi, revealed that there are several individuals who used to work for Kejriwal but were actually paid by the Delhi government. The AAP has not yet responded to these allegations.

The BJP made this accusation after 437 people hired as experts, fellows, and consultants were fired by the services department on the orders of Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena. Trivedi stated in a press conference that a new form of Kejriwal and the AAP has emerged, where party activists are hired with government salaries while holding government positions. Virendra Sachdeva, the Delhi unit leader of the BJP, claimed that 116 people who were working for AAP while receiving government salaries have been identified. These individuals have reportedly deleted their social media profiles. Sachdeva has urged Lieutenant Governor Saxena to take action on this matter.

It is worth noting that 400 private employees of Delhi government ministries were terminated on Monday, with approval from Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena. Allegations suggest that transparency and approval from the Lieutenant Governor were not followed in the appointment of these individuals. Many of them did not meet the required criteria and conditions for their positions. Sources at the Lieutenant Governor’s offices have revealed that the Delhi government’s service department requested the termination of these 400 private employees. It has been reported that these individuals were employed without proper clearance in Delhi government offices. The government has stated that it will challenge this decision in court.
