This step raises awareness and intends to take action in the fight against illegal drug use and substance abuse. The handbook states that NDPS violators will face legal action for violating the Act, with penalties ranging from life imprisonment to the death penalty.
The Handbook includes information on various aspects of the NDPS Act, such as receiving information on NDPS cases, handling seized items, forwarding forensic samples, and reporting to superior officials, all of which are said to be processed to investigate NDPS cases.
