    Telangana government has granted approval for an additional 14,565 engineering seats in the state. These seats will be provided in various engineering colleges under the Computer Science course, as requested by the core groups. Out of these, the government has given permission for 6,930 seats. Additionally, 7,635 engineering seats have been approved by the government recently. As a result, the government will bear a burden of Rs. 27.39 crore due to the allocation of these extra seats. With this recent approval, the total number of engineering seats in the state has reached 1,00,671.
