    Bonalu Festival Celebrated with Splendor in New York by Telangana Community

    New York, the city that never sleeps, witnessed the grand celebration of the Bonalu festival, one of the most important festivals of Telangana, in the month of Ashada. Organized by the Telangana Telugu Association of New York (NYTTA), the Bonalu festival showcased the rich culture and traditions of Telangana. The festivities took place in Kings Park, with Golconda, Lashkar, and Lal Darwaza serving as the main attractions. The State Park was transformed into a vibrant venue, filled with the sounds of Telangana folk music, dance, and traditional rituals.

    The decorations for the festival were meticulously planned, adding to the festive atmosphere. Indians and Americans alike joined hands in celebrating Bonalu, adorning their foreheads with the traditional tilak. The festival not only showcased the vibrant Telugu culture but also served as a platform for devotees to offer their prayers with utmost devotion. Telangana cuisine delighted the taste buds of the attendees, as they indulged in mouthwatering delicacies.

    Prominent personalities from various fields graced the event with their presence. Dr. Rajender Reddy Jinnah, Chairman of NYTTA, Lakshman Reddy Anugu, Vice Chairman, Sunil Reddy Gaddam, President of the Executive Committee, Vani Singarikonda, Vice President, Ravi Kodela, Treasurer, Prasanna Madireddy, Joint Treasurer, Geeta Kankanala, Secretary, Harik Janga, Joint Secretary, Padma Taduri, Hari Charan Bobbili and Bhagyam Surapaneni were among the dignitaries who attended the event.
