Green India Challenge: Rajya Sabha member Joginipalli Santosh Kumar meets President Droupadi Murmu
Hyderabad: Rajya Sabha member Joginipalli Santosh Kumar met with the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, along with the Minister of Tribal Welfare, Satyavathi Rathod, in Hyderabad on Tuesday. They discussed the Green India Challenge program with the President. The President presented the book on tree planting, which highlights the importance of trees, to Santosh Kumar.
Later, Santosh Kumar briefed the President about the progress of the Green India Challenge initiative in the state. He provided details about the plantation of trees, achievements made so far, and the awareness programs conducted among the public regarding the importance of planting trees. The President showed keen interest in the topics mentioned by MP Santosh Kumar and expressed her appreciation for his participation in the Green India Challenge. She also revealed that she herself is aware of the significance of tree plantation, as she has been informed about it on several occasions.
During her visit to Hyderabad, the President was informed about the ongoing tree plantation activities under the Green India Challenge. She congratulated Santosh Kumar for his selfless initiative and praised his dedication towards this noble cause. She expressed her desire to promote the Green India Challenge even more extensively. Subsequently, Santosh Kumar thanked the President for her support and expressed his gratitude for her wonderful experience and enthusiasm for the Green India Challenge. The program was attended by several officials from the State Girijan Welfare Department, including Secretary Satyavathi Rathod.
