    Heavy rainfall has been recorded in many districts in the vicinity of Greater Hyderabad in the state, with a maximum of 6.7 cm of rain in Sangareddy district. The Hyderabad Meteorological Center has reported that there is a possibility of heavy rains for the next three days in the state. On Saturday, the sea level is rising up to 7.6 kilometers from the coast in the areas of Odisha and West Bengal. It has been reported that there is a strong wind blowing towards the northwest direction. The cyclonic winds have entered the state and heavy rainfall has occurred in several districts on Saturday. The Environmental Center has issued warnings in seven districts in this path. On Sunday, heavy rainfall was recorded in Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Warangal, and Hanumakonda districts. Similarly, it has been announced that heavy rainfall will continue in some parts of the state from Odisha. The weather is pleasant in the state for the next seven days and there will be rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning.

    Heavy rainfall in many districts

    Due to the cyclonic winds, heavy rainfall has occurred in many districts on Saturday. In Greater Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Medchal Malkajgiri, Siddipet, Medak, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, and Nirmal districts have experienced heavy rainfall. Sangareddy district in particular has recorded the highest rainfall of 67.5 millimeters in the state. In Kumaram Bheem Asifabad district’s Sirpur (T) Mandal, a person named Bikku (35) lost his life due to a wall collapse.

    Crop damage caused by floods

    Due to the heavy rainfall, there has been crop damage in the KTR Osi-2 canal area in Bhupalpally district’s Bhupalpally Mandal. As a result, 3,500 tonnes of crop production has suffered a loss. In the Koyagudem Open Cast (KOC) area in the surroundings of the Koilakuntla village in Bhadradri Kothagudem district, heavy floodwater has entered. In the morning shift, 6 tonnes of crop production and 10 cubic meters of soil have been washed away (overburden).
