The Telangana Government promised to help the Election Commission of India with the Assembly elections in the state. On Saturday, an EC team led by Dharmendra Sharma and Shri Nitesh Kumar Vyas met with senior officials from different enforcement agencies, district collectors, and Commissioner of Police (CPs) superintendents of police (SPs) in Hyderabad to talk about poll preparedness.
During the meeting, the EC delegation met with various enforcement agencies, including the Income Tax Department (CBDT), Narcotics Control Board (NCB), Excise Department, State GST:CGST, Enforcement Directorate, State Level Bankers Committee (SLBC), Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), CISF, and the State Commercial Tax Department. The goal was to stop people from using money power in the elections.
A. Santhi Kumari, Telangana State Chief Secretary, met with the EC delegation to discuss the preparations for the Assembly Elections. The chief secretary promised to give all of the logistical support needed for the elections to go smoothly. State DGP Anjani Kumar and other top officials were also present.
