    The incredible system for resolving civic issues is now in operation. Ward administration, which will take care of the city council’s responsibilities, has started today. A total of 1500 officials will be available to the public on a daily basis in the 150 wards with 10 members each. They will address the citizens’ problems and provide solutions on the spot. The time required for resolving issues will be indicated through a grievance cell. The Citizen Charter has been implemented. On Friday, Minister KTR inaugurated the ward office in Kachiguda. Similarly, Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav in Amberpet, Minister KT Rama Rao in Khairatabad, Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav in Goshmahal Begumbazar, Municipal Commissioner Bonthu Rammohan in Himayathnagar Melkote Park, Lingojiguda and Ramantapur Viveknagar, and Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari in Amirpet BK Guda inaugurated the ward offices.

    City Bureau, June 15 (Namaste Telangana): Ward administration has commenced in the city from Friday. Ward offices have started functioning from 8:30 am. The GHMC administration has once again restructured the ward administration system. In order to further improve services to the citizens, the administration has decided to streamline ward administration as a part of decentralization. In addition to the ward officer, a total of 1500 officials will be available on a daily basis for the citizens in the ward centers with 10 members in each ward. They will address the citizens’ problems and provide solutions on the spot. The Citizen Charter has been implemented to indicate the time required for resolving issues. The ward office in Kachiguda was inaugurated by Minister KT Rama Rao, Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav inaugurated the ward offices in Monda Market Regimental Bazaar, Kavadiguda Circle Basti, and Goshmahal Begumbazar, while Minister Shrinivas Yadav inaugurated the ward offices in Banjara Hills CNTES, Himayathnagar Melkote Park, LB Nagar, Lingojiguda, and Ramantapur Viveknagar. Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari inaugurated the ward office in Amirpet BK Guda.

    The following are the responsibilities of the Ward Officer:

    – They should address all aspects related to ward administration. They should cooperate with officials from various departments and follow specific guidelines in emergency situations. Complaints should be resolved promptly. They should register grievances through the ATMA (Any Time Municipal Administration) system for immediate resolution.

    Ward Engineer:

    – They should inspect roads, footpaths, and catch pits without any issues. Road lighting issues should be reported to the concerned authorities.

    Ward Town Planner:

    – They should ensure that unauthorized constructions and encroachments do not take place. They should verify complaints and send them online to higher officials for action.

    Ward Environmental Officer:

    – They should ensure that garbage is collected regularly. They should also educate the public about waste segregation.

    Community Organizers:

    – They should interact with women from poor families and encourage them to become members of self-help groups. They should ensure that they have access to loans from banks and avail benefits from government welfare programs. They should issue ID cards to senior citizens and establish daycare centers for them.

    Sanitary Workers:

    – They should attend to their duties on time and ensure that cleanliness programs are conducted regularly. They should collect solid waste from every house. They should clean open spaces and remove debris. Complaints should be addressed through various mediums.

    UBD Super Visor:

    – They should listen to complaints from the public and forward them for appropriate action. They should conduct programs for greenery in parks and other areas. They should encourage public participation in maintaining cleanliness.

    This is how the ward administration system will function. The officials will work towards resolving the citizens’ issues and providing efficient services.
