    A powerful cyclone hit Jhakau port in Gujarat on the Indian side of the Arabian Sea. It started last night and will continue past midnight. The damage is expected to be severe and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and administration will have a difficult time with rehabilitation efforts.

    The closest city to Jhakau port is Karachi, and about 80,000 people in Pakistan have been moved to safer locations. These types of cyclones were not common in the Arabian Sea before, but experts say it’s due to global warming and other environmental disturbances worldwide.
