Chhattisgarh Engineers Team Visits the Kaleshwaram Project

Hyderabad, June 15 (Namaste Telangana): The team of engineers from Chhattisgarh, who were amazed by the construction of the Kaleshwaram project, visited the state. They praised the completion of the project in such a short period of time. When the construction of the Sammakka-Saralamma barrage was completed, which involved diverting 83 meters of water from the Mulugu district, only 22 hectares of land in Kothur village in Chhattisgarh remained for cultivation. It was decided that engineers from two states would conduct a joint survey. As part of this, Haryan, SE Vijayabhaskar from CEE, Nagaria from Chhattisgarh, and SE KES Bhandari visited the site. Haryan explained the construction of the barrage to them.

The previous impact was mapped using Mylap as a basis. The officials of Chhattisgarh expressed satisfaction with the construction of the barrage according to the design that was decided upon earlier. They had previously decided not to interfere with the agricultural lands before the construction of the barrage. Later, they learned about the special features of the Kaleshwaram project from Haryan on their request. In order to visit the nearby projects, they showed interest and Haryan accompanied them to Lakshmi Barrage and Annaram Barrage. The engineers from Chhattisgarh expressed their astonishment after learning about the special features of the project.
