    Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced on Monday that Padma awardees in the state will receive a monthly pension of Rs 10,000 and can travel for free on government buses. The announcement was made during a meeting with residents of Ward No. 16, Karnal, Khattar’s assembly seat. In January, the national government awarded 106 Padma awardees across various categories including arts, social work, public affairs, science and engineering, trade and industry, medicine, literature and education, sports and civil service. The Padma Awards are divided into three categories: Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, and Padma Shri.
