A graduation ceremony for the 211th Course of Flight Cadets from different branches of the Indian Air Force will take place on June 17 at the Air Force Academy Dundigal in Hyderabad. The ceremony will be attended by President of India Droupadi Murmu as the Chief Guest and Reviewing Officer. During the parade, the Flight Cadets will have their ranks unveiled and receive their President’s Commission awards. The RO will also pin the ‘Wings’ and ‘Brevets’ on the cadets’ chests, depending on their branch. Officers from the Indian Navy, Indian Coast Guard, and cadets from foreign countries who have been trained by the Air Force will also receive their ‘Wings’ and ‘Brevets’.
The Flight Cadet with the highest ranking in the Flying Branch will command the parade and receive both the ‘Sword of Honour’ and the President’s Plaque. The Flight Cadet with the highest overall ranking in the Ground Duty branches will receive the President’s Plaque. After the parade, Pilatus PC-7 trainer aircraft will perform an aerobatic display, followed by a fly-past by a formation of PC-7s, an aerobatic show by a Su-30, and synchronous aerobatic displays by the helicopter display team ‘Sarang’ and the Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team.
