Good news for Hyderabad residents! Late on Saturday night, scattered storms brought some relief from the extreme heat. Temperatures had been above 40 degrees Celsius in most districts, but the rain caused a slight dip in temperature.
The rainfall measurements were impressive: Zaffergadh in Jangaon got 80mm of rain by 9 pm, Mogdampalle in Sangareddy recorded 55.3mm, Nakrekal in Nalgonda got 54.3mm, and Mootakondur in Yadadri Bhongir saw 44.3mm of rain. Even some areas within GHMC limits got moderate showers.
These showers were accompanied by strong winds, and continued late into the night. Overall, this was a welcome change for people affected by the heatwave.
