A 16-year-old boy from Hyderabad emptied his mother’s bank account to play a mobile game. He downloaded a free game called Free Fire and spent money to enhance his skills and weapons. He got addicted to the game and continued spending money without telling his family. He spent a total of Rs 36 lakhs from two separate bank accounts. His mother discovered the problem when she visited the bank and reported it to the cybercrime police station. The boy was a student in class 11, and his father was a deceased police officer who had earned the money.
