    Cancellation of Several Trains by SCR Continues for Second Day after Odisha Train Accident

    Trains across Telugu states have been cancelled or had their timings changed for the second consecutive day due to the Odisha train accident. Many trains were cancelled yesterday and others were diverted. Several trains through Odisha have also been cancelled. Today, many trains including Hyderabad-Shalimar, Santragachi-Tirupati, Tirupati-Santragachi, Howrah-SMVT Bangalore, Shalimar-Hyderabad, Shalimar-MGR Chennai Central, Vasco da Gama-Howrah, Vasco da Gama-Kachiguda, Howrah-Secunderabad, MGR Chennai Central-Shalimar, and Chennai Central-Santragachi have been cancelled. Howrah-Tiruchirappalli and Agartala-Bangalore trains were diverted via Kharagpur, Tatanagar, Rourkela, and Jharsuguda.

    Meanwhile, the SMVT Bengaluru-Jasidih train was rescheduled to leave at 12.30 pm instead of its original departure time of 10 am. The SMVT Bangalore-Howrah train was also rescheduled from 10.35 am to 1.30 pm. Other cancelled trains include Bangalore-Kamakhya, Bangalore-Bagalpool, Vallipuram-Purulia, and Thiruvananthapuram-Shalimar. Dilberg-Secunderabad, Newjalaigiri-Chennai, Selichar-Trivandrum, Tambaram-New Tinsukia, Bangalore-Guhwati, and Howrah-Mysore trains were diverted.
