The Telangana State formation day will be celebrated at the Golkonda Fort on Friday. The Union Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Development of North Eastern Region, G Kishan Reddy, will be the chief guest. The event will begin with the hoisting of the national flag by the minister at 7 AM. The paramilitary forces will carry out the ceremonial protocol after the flag hoisting.
There will be a special exhibition showcasing the achievements of the union government over the past nine years. The exhibition will provide insights into the progress and development initiatives undertaken by the government. In the evening, there will be a cultural programme featuring renowned artists like Padmashri Awardee Ananda Shanker Jayant, Shankar Mahadevan, and Mangli, among others.
During the morning session, Kolatam and Perni artists will showcase their artistic prowess. Further, the minister will interact with the artists participating in the photo and painting exhibition organized by the Department of Culture. In the evening, Kishan Reddy will deliver the welcome address and two films highlighting Indian culture and the remarkable achievements of the Centre will be screened.
Following the minister’s speech, Dr. Anand Shankar and his team will perform a classical dance, followed by a patriotic song presentation by Shankar Mahadevan. Kishan Reddy visited the Golkonda Fort on Thursday to review the preparations for the event.
