The Commissioner of Police, L Subbarayudu, and District Agriculture Officer, Sridhar, visited the Nujiveedu seeds production centre in Manakondur on Tuesday. They checked the seeds and packing method as well as the seed stock records to make sure farmers in the state don’t lose out on crop yield.

Subbarayudu advised farmers to buy quality seeds and be careful when doing so. Seed production centre managers should only sell quality seeds and not expired ones. The government has taken measures to protect farmers and provide them with good quality seeds for higher yield.

Farmers should check the quality standards of seed companies before buying seeds and contact agriculture department officials if there are any doubts. The police, agriculture, and revenue departments are working together to ensure that farmers don’t suffer losses due to fake seeds.
