Leaders of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi criticized Union Minister G Kishan Reddy for questioning the absence of Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao at the NITI Aayog meeting. They pointed out that ten other chief ministers were absent as well. Sunitha, a government whip, said that Kishan Reddy should know that attending the meeting would not provide them with any useful knowledge and their duty is to serve the people. She went on to say that BJP leaders lack understanding of Telangana’s economic situation and MPs from the party have no interest in the state. Balraj, another government whip, said that the BRS party expected Parliament to be named after Dr BR Ambedkar and criticized the BJP for their lack of nationalism. He stated that KCR is the only leader fulfilling Ambedkar’s aspirations.
Bharat Rashtra Samithi reports that ten Chief Ministers also missed the NITI Aayog Meeting in Hyderabad.
