Two people were killed in separate wild elephant attacks in Odisha. An eight-year-old girl named Pari was sleeping with her family when a herd of eight elephants entered their courtyard. When family members tried to drive them away, one of the elephants entered their house and trampled Pari to death. She was taken to the hospital, where she was declared dead. In a separate incident, a man named Satya Behera was killed in a jumbo attack while cycling with two other laborers on Kamagura-Mayurjhalia road in Ranpur area.
