    A farmer named Uppuleti Mondaiah died in Karimnagar after a tractor carrying paddy ran him over while he was sleeping under a tarpaulin cover. The incident occurred on Saturday morning in Vachunur of Thimmapur mandal. Two days prior, Mondaiah had brought his crop to the IKP purchasing centre for weighing. He slept at the centre under the cover while the weighing began at 3 am. Meanwhile, a driver was transporting the paddy to a rice mill in a tractor and did not notice Mondaiah sleeping under the cover. The tractor ran over him and he died instantly. The police have registered a case and sent the body to the district headquarters hospital for autopsy.
