Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan recently spoke at an event in Chennai and said that she was not invited to the inauguration of the Telangana Secretariat, which was recently opened by the Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao in Hyderabad. She questioned why opposition parties refer to the president as a non-political person but don’t say the same for governors. Soundararajan stated that state governments that do not respect governors in their respective states are now shedding crocodile tears that the constitutional head has not been invited to the inauguration of the new Parliament building. She was not informed or invited to the inauguration of the Telangana New Secretariat.
