Prime Minister Modi and Australian Prime Minister Albanese have condemned recent attacks on Hindu temples in Australia, during their bilateral meeting. Separatist groups have been targeting these temples, with pro-Khalistan supporters vandalizing the premises and spraying anti-India and pro-Khalistani graffiti on the walls. At least four temples were attacked in January, including three in the Melbourne region. The two leaders have emphasized their commitment to strong bilateral relations and will take strict actions against any elements that harm these ties. Former Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott has also spoken out against the Federation Square protests in Melbourne, organized by Khalistan separatists who came to Australia on tourist visas under false pretenses.
