The City Congress in Karimnagar held a protest on Friday about BC loans. The party’s president, Komati Reddy Narender Reddy, accused the BRS government of not providing loans to BCs for five years. Narender Reddy said that before the 2018 elections, over 20,000 unemployed people applied for loans, but only 1,200 people were given Rs 50,000 each. He criticized Minister Gangula Kamalakar for not doing enough for BCs and accused BRS leaders of cheating. Narender Reddy demanded that all previously approved applications should be sanctioned immediately and the BC loans announced five months ago should be sanctioned as well.
