    The Telangana State government has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Aga Khan Trust for Culture (AKTC) to restore three historic sites. The sites are Saidanima’s tomb, Badhshahi Ashurkhana, and Shaikpet Sarai. Two of the sites are currently not accessible to the public.

    Municipal administration and urban development principal secretary Arvind Kumar announced the MoU signing on Friday. He said that work on the projects will start soon by the AKTC. Minister K T Rama Rao and AKTC CEO Ratish Nanda were present at the signing.

    The AKTC has already completed the restoration of the Qutb Shahi tombs, which are the royal necropolis of the Qutb Shahi of Golconda dynasty that founded Hyderabad. Work on the tombs began in 2013 and has virtually transformed the site.
