Lockheed Martin Corporation, an American aerospace and defense company, is planning to hold its next supply chain meet in Hyderabad. Telangana’s Industries Minister, KT Rama Rao, expressed his happiness over this news. The company has been actively speaking to several Telangana-based MSMEs and start-ups for collaborations.
During a meeting held in Washington DC, the IT Minister of Telangana had a discussion with senior leaders of Lockheed Martin Corporation, including Ray Piselli and Dave Sutton. They discussed ongoing manufacturing programs in Hyderabad and new programs in the pipeline. The leaders appreciated the support received from the Telangana Government during the pandemic period and assured support for various skilling initiatives undertaken by the State.
The Telangana Industries Principal Secretary, Jayesh Ranjan, Special Secretary for Investment Promotion & NRI Affairs, E Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, and senior officials were also present at the meeting. Lockheed Martin Corporation is known for its aerospace, arms, defense, information security, and technology products. The company’s decision to hold its next supply chain meet in Hyderabad is a positive step towards strengthening ties with Telangana-based businesses.
