Medtronic, a global leader in medical devices, has announced that it will invest Rs. 3000 crore to set up an R&D center for medical devices in Hyderabad, Telangana. This is one of the largest investments in the medical devices sector in India. The state has been attracting foreign investments with its pro-business policies.

Minister KTR, who is currently on a visit to America, met with representatives of Medtronic to discuss the investment. He expressed happiness over the decision and thanked the company for choosing Hyderabad as its base. The R&D center will be the largest in the state.

This investment comes after Warner Brothers Discovery announced the setting up of its International Development Center in Hyderabad. It further strengthens Telangana’s position as a global hub for medical devices.
