Residents of Malakpet were shocked when the severed head of a woman was discovered in the Musi River on Wednesday morning. The police believe that someone beheaded her and threw her head into the river. The woman was wearing gold earrings and had other intact ornaments on her body, leading police to suspect that her murder may have been caused by family issues or an extramarital affair. Investigators are currently reviewing surveillance footage from the surrounding area for clues. Senior police officials have visited the scene, and an investigation is ongoing.
