The Housing Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Jogi Ramesh, visited the Neera Cafe on Tuesday with his son. The cafe is located on Necklace Road near Hussain Sagar lake in Hyderabad. Minister Ramesh praised the Telangana government for opening the cafe and supporting the toddy tappers in the state.
During his visit, Minister Ramesh received a warm welcome from Telangana Excise Minister V Srinivas Goud and other Goud community leaders. Actor Suman was also there. Minister Srinivas Goud explained to Minister Ramesh about the services of Neera Cafe and how it is maintained.
The Telangana government recently opened its first Neera Cafe in Hyderabad to promote natural sap from palmyra trees as a health drink. The cafe offers fresh Neera to customers and is supported by the Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation and Telangana State Prohibition and Excise Department. This initiative aims to provide financial support to the toddy tappers’ community.
