The police in Hyderabad are warning new vehicle owners to register their vehicles within 30 days or face strict action. The Rachakonda police department held a meeting to review their special drive against traffic violations, where they revealed that they have taken action against those who tampered with number plates or drove without them. So far, 48,998 cases have been registered against violators and the police have shared specific cases where citizens were sentenced to one-three days of imprisonment and fined between Rs 3,000 to Rs 5,000.
The meeting was attended by police officials who reviewed the progress of the ongoing special drive. The Rachakonda police urged vehicle owners to register their new vehicles within 30 days to avoid facing legal action.
