The South Central Railway had a great month in April! They made more money from passengers than ever before, earning Rs. 465.38 crore. They also transported more passengers than ever before, with 21.90 million people taking trains in April 2023. This is a 27.10% increase from the previous year. The railway introduced 65 extra special trains during the month to help deal with the high demand. These trains made 464 trips and carried an extra 3.39 lakh passengers, making an extra Rs. 26.60 crore in revenue.
Arun Kumar Jain, the General Manager of SCR, was very pleased with these results. He said that they will help to motivate the staff and encourage them to keep working hard for the rest of the year.
