Corporate colleges in Hyderabad are conducting online classes for intermediate first and second year students during the summer vacation, despite the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education declaring holidays until June 1. In addition to two-hour classes in the morning and evening, these colleges are also holding virtual unit tests. Some students have reported attending full-fledged classes in the name of introductory courses, and being forced to attend regular classes with the promise of added marks for tests conducted. While the TSBIE has announced the reopening of colleges on June 1, corporate colleges have already begun classes as usual. Some students are attending these classes unwillingly, and a government junior college lecturer has criticized the lack of action against corporate colleges.
