The foreign ministers of Pakistan and Russia had a meeting in Goa, India during a conclave of the foreign ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO). They talked about issues that are important to both countries, including bilateral, regional, and international matters. They also discussed cooperation in food security, energy, and people-to-people contacts. Pakistan’s foreign minister, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, said he is committed to the charter of SCO and is looking forward to engaging with other countries in the organization.
Bilawal’s visit to India is the first by a Pakistani foreign minister since 2011. The relationship between the two countries has been strained lately.
