Pakistan’s foreign minister, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, will attend a multilateral summit in India. This is the first time in over six years that a Pakistani foreign minister will visit India for such an event. Bilawal’s predecessor, Sartaj Aziz, visited India in 2016 for the Heart of Asia conference. Bilawal is set to arrive on May 4th in the afternoon.
The summit will include the attendance of Lavrov and Gang, who are expected to discuss various regional and international issues, increasing cooperation between SCO members, climate change, and measures to increase economic cooperation.
Overall, the summit aims to foster better relations between countries and address pressing issues affecting the region.
