Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir, former teammates and Indian cricket players, had an argument after an Indian Premier League (IPL) match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants. This is not the first time they have had a face-off; they were also involved in an altercation during an IPL match 10 years ago.

After the match, RCB captain Faf du Plessis commented on Kohli’s behavior, saying that it was the “best version of Virat.” Both Kohli and Gambhir were fined 100% of their match fees for their actions, which breached Article 2.21 of the IPL code of conduct.

RCB won the match by 18 runs, defending a modest score of 126 on a sluggish pitch. Josh Hazlewood and Karn Sharma took two wickets each to restrict Lucknow’s batters, who failed to build partnerships and chase down the target. The win took Bangalore to fifth place on the IPL points table, while Lucknow slipped to third place.
