    On Monday, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao announced that the salaries of sanitation workers would be increased by Rs 1,000 per month. This decision will benefit 1,06,474 workers. The CM also instructed the Finance department to take appropriate steps to increase the salaries of RTC employees.

    Another decision made was to extend the last date for the regularization of house sites under GOs 58 and 59 by another month. KCR stated that the regularization of house sites owned by poorer sections and notary land under GOs 58 and 59 would be done till June 1. Additionally, KCR asked local MLAs of municipalities within the limits of Hyderabad and Secunderabad to meet with the poor and address their grievances on legal rights of their properties.

    During a review, the chief minister asked Irrigation officials to complete drinking water project works under the Palamuru lift scheme as soon as possible. Officials were also asked to complete the pending works at reservoirs taken up under the lift scheme and the works at pumpsets and power substations ahead of the deadline.

    Earlier that day, the chief minister walked through the corridors in the sixth floor of the new Secretariat building and asked officials about their work experience and facilities provided.
