A new super specialty hospital is being built in Srinagar city in Jammu and Kashmir. However, two Kashmiri Pandit organizations allege that the land on which the hospital is being constructed is actually temple property. The organizations have sent a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, claiming that the Durga Nag Trust owns the temple land and the hospital construction is illegal. They also accuse the authorities of ignoring their complaints and court orders.

The JK Peace Forum has also raised similar concerns, stating that temple properties of minorities in Kashmir have been illegally leased out for personal gain. Despite court orders, the Jammu and Kashmir Administration and Revenue Department have failed to protect these properties. The High Court of Jammu and Kashmir has ordered the preservation and protection of the temple properties, including a ban on constructions and transfers of ownership.
