The State government signed agreements with food companies to invest in the food sector. The agreements were signed during a day-long “Food Conclave” in Hyderabad. Minister for IT and Industry KT Rama Rao said the agreements would create 58,458 jobs in the food sector. The conclave will now be held annually. Most of the deals were related to the dairy and agro processing industries. Aqua hubs will be built across the State where there are major reservoirs, and fresh water fish and shrimp will be reared in cages. The MoUs signed by various companies will create employment opportunities and wealth in the State. During the conclave, 27 agreements were signed, mostly related to the yellow revolution.
