Rangineni Abhilash Rao, a leader of the Congress party, joined Telangana IKPVOA Employees Union’s indefinite strike in Chinnambavi mandal center of Wanaparthy district. He spoke in support of the IKPVOA community and demanded that VOAs be recognized as serfs, provided job security, and given ID cards. He also called for an increase in the minimum wage and access to health insurance.
Abhilash Rao claimed that the Congress party had transformed the VOA system and bookkeepers’ system into a unified power over the last 20 years. He promised that the Congress party would stand by SERP VOAs until their demands were met. He urged the IKP to address the concerns of VOAs and provide them with better working conditions.
The event was attended by various associations, including IKPVOA and CITU affiliated groups, as well as several Congress leaders and Youth Congress leaders. Wanaparthy District Women’s Congress president Srilata Reddy, District SC Cell secretary Maddileti, Vipanagandla, Mandal president Birayya Yadav, District Youth Congress general secretary Gayyanga Yadav, and Taluka social media incharge Rajesh Yadav were also present.
