The tension between Sourav Ganguly and Virat Kohli continues as they refused to shake hands after a match between Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL 2023. The incident was caught on video and went viral on social media. Former India head coach Ravi Shastri commented on the matter, saying that there is always room to grow up, no matter how old you are.

The conflict started when Kohli stepped down as India’s T20I skipper in October 2021. He was then removed from ODI captaincy two months later before leaving his position as India’s Test skipper in January 2022. At the time, Ganguly was BCCI president and Rohit Sharma became India’s all-format skipper.

Both Ganguly and Kohli have their own versions of the issue. While Kohli still plays for India and RCB, former India cricketer Roger Binny succeeded Ganguly as the next BCCI president.
