The Fire Services department in Hyderabad had a ‘Fire Services Week’ from April 14 to 20. They did fire drills and first-aid fire-fighting training programmes in places like malls, hospitals, and schools. They also had lectures and demonstrations in residential areas about how to be safe with things like LPG and electricity. The department wanted to make people aware of the importance of preventing fires.
During the week, the Telangana State Disaster Response and Fire Services department organized many events. They released posters, honored fallen firefighters, and held blood donation camps. They even had a vehicle rally. There were workshops on industrial fire safety and hospital fire safety.
The Fire Services department also held a workshop on hotel fire safety at a hotel in Banjara Hills. In total, they organized 900 public awareness programs that over 70,000 people attended!
