Political parties in Telangana are gearing up for upcoming elections with various events planned over the next two months. The BRS, BJP and Congress have each planned their own series of rallies and meetings. The BRS has been holding Aatmiya Sammelanams and will continue to organise more programs throughout May and June in various parts of the state. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is confident that the BJP will lose power in Karnataka and JD(S) will emerge as the kingmaker, which will further boost his anti-BJP campaign in Telangana. The BRS will showcase the government’s welfare and developmental activities, which will be monitored by K T Rama Rao. The BJP has also planned public meetings in every district from April to June with national leaders scheduled to attend. Meanwhile, the Congress plans to hold Satyagraha Sabhas-cum-public meetings in every district and invite national leaders, including Priyanka Gandhi, to attend in June.
