Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, spoke to the media before he was questioned by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) about a liquor policy case. He accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of being able to arrest anyone they want, including innocent people. Kejriwal said that the BJP is becoming increasingly arrogant and continues to threaten judges, the media, and businesspeople. He also questioned whether putting him in jail would solve the BJP’s problems.
The opposition party claimed that the BJP was planning to imprison Kejriwal after he received the summons on Friday. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, MPs, and AAP ministers accompanied Kejriwal to the CBI headquarters for questioning. Before visiting the CBI headquarters, Kejriwal reportedly visited Raj Ghat in Delhi. Security was increased around the CBI headquarters, and prohibitory orders were issued.
The Enforcement Directorate questioned Bibhav Kumar, the chief minister of Delhi’s personal assistant, about who spoke to or visited him over the new excise policy.
