    Heavy rain and lightning hit several parts of Hyderabad on Friday morning, bringing some relief from the hot summer weather. The areas affected included Khairatabad, Gachibowli, Jubilee Hills, Tank Bund, Himayatnagar, Osmania University, Basheerbagh, Secunderabad, Begumpet, Rasoolpura, Karkhana, Punjagutta, Ameerpet, Sanathnagar, Moosapet, Balanagar, Chintal, Jeedimetla, Malkajgiri, ECIL, and Neredmet. However, the eastern and southern parts of the city, including the old city, Saroornagar, LB Nagar, Hayathnagar, and Balapur did not receive any rain.

    The India Meteorological Department – Hyderabad predicts that the city will likely experience more rain over the next three days, and temperatures are expected to drop to 40 degrees Celsius.
