According to sources from the Syrian embassy, the relief material collected by Indian citizens for the victims of the earthquake in Syria has not yet been received due to international sanctions and permissions required by the embassy. However, it has been decided that containers will be sent to Latakia port in Syria through Mumbai port once the necessary permits are obtained. Syrian journalist Vayil Odad, living in Delhi, expressed gratitude for the assistance provided by Indian citizens and stated that the items received will be dispatched as soon as possible. The embassy is facing difficulties in transporting goods due to the war situation and other challenges faced by Syria. The Siasat Daily in Hyderabad collected relief materials for the earthquake victims of Syria, but only after verifying the items, they will be sent from Mumbai port to Latakia port. It was emphasized during the collection that old and used clothes should not be sent, but some people still sent unusable clothes.
